Smoked Daniels, Bacon Bloody Mary BBQ Sauce
Ingrediants

1 cup Bloody Mary (smoked bacon )mix

1/2 cup of jack Daniels whiskey
-
5 slices thick-cut smoked bacon
-
2 tbsp bacon fat (from cooking bacon)

½ cup ketchup
-
2 tbsp tomato paste
-
2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
-
3 tbsp brown sugar or maple syrup
-
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
-
1 tbsp Dijon mustard

1 tsp smoked paprika
-
½ tsp chipotle powder (or cayenne to taste)

1 tsp garlic powder
-
½ tsp onion powder

Fresh cracked black pepper

In a saucepan over medium heat, add bacon fat.

Stir in tomato paste and cook 1 minute to caramelize.(sometimes I put finely chopped sweet  Vidalia onions)

Add ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire, vinegar, and Bloody Mary mix.

Season & Simmer(longer for thicker)

Add brown sugar, smoked paprika, chipotle powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.

Simmer uncovered 20–30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thick.

Brush on ribs during last 15 minutes
Great on chicken too!
